As I scurry around the gym panicking about the first water polo game of the season, my nervousness slowly increase. Running around and jumping up and down around my polo friends don't make things any better, but I do it anyway. Terrorizing myself with a million "I'M GONNA DROWN PLAYING WITH THE VARSITY TEAM!!" and "I'M GONNA DIEEEE." Hehe, chuckle.
But still. A few minutes before the game, all the players gather together and being stretching. We watch the other members of the Concord Team pass by...and they all have this "We're all totally gonna whoop your guys' asses! So watch out!" look on their faces. Everyone on our team= ::rolls eyes::
:D
Games went pretty well. The first game was women's AHS Varsity team vs. Concord Varsity team. We totally "whooped their asses". Pshaw. We beat them by more than 10 scores. The second game was guys' AHS Varsity team vs. Concord Varsity team...and we were soo much better, haha. Hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm bragging, because I'm not. XP
Third game. Terrible. All the players on our JV team JUST joined and didn't understand how to play. So Marlena, Rebecca, and I were the ones "in charge". And it was SCARY. So scary...and unfair.
pfswimgurl: One of them was STARING at this girl pushing me under water and pulling my suit and grabbing and kicking me in the stomach, and he didn't even call a freaking foul.
my5Adrumsticks: loser
my5Adrumsticks: hes just mad cuz hes old and unmarried
my5Adrumsticks: am i right
LOL. Yeah, stupid referees. Those girls in the JV team were the same girls as the ones in the Varsity team. So yeah, that's just stupid. But whatever, it was only the first game of the season. Those girls were SUPER SUPER SUPER vicious though. Like, REALLY REALLY vicious. It's SO annoying! Gahhhhh.
This girl would jump on me and pull on my suit, squeeze my wrist, pinch my finger, stab my face with the elbow, kick me in the stomach, and put both elbows on my shoulders as if they were trying to drown me. They're so pathetic, because it seems like that's their "strategy" of winning. After the game ended [was totally gonna DIE] we sat down on the concrete deck and had a meeting with our coach. He wasn't disappointed in us at ALL. But I hadn't expected him to be, since most of the JV players just joined the team a few days ago and weren't expecting our first game until around next week or so. I had a few tears run down my eyes from the disappointment of our loss, but I got over it soon.
Overall, I had fun. It was definitely a great experience, and can't wait to get into the pool next time to improve over my mistakes.
