Sooo here comes the annual school entry. :P It's been a week and a half since school started for me, and wow. I already miss freshman year.
My classes are mostly alright. I don't have too many classes with my close friends, which means I either attempt to socialize with other people (not likely) or just stay quiet and actually pay attention to what the teacher is saying.
Honors Chemistry: Oh my god, I have science first period this year. Hahaha. Probably VERY screwed since I'm used to studying for science tests throughout the day instead of studying the night before... >_> However, my teacher is cool (she's a gamer!). Basically, she does all the same material & tests as the other Chem teacher, but she's a lot less scary. haha. Also, Jamie is in this class. In my lab group. Beware. o_o
AP Spanish 5: Okay, so this class is kind of a mess. I was enrolled in Spanish 4 this year, but they didn't have enough students enrolled in AP Spanish 5 to form a whole class, so they made it a combination class (Spanish 4 + AP Spanish 5). Therefore, I had the opportunity to move up to AP Spanish... and took it. Hey, saves me from having ANOTHER AP next year. However, the AP Spanish (Language) exam is freakishly hard. >_< My teacher is pretty good... but I'll definitely need to study a lot on my own.
World History: Unexpectedly awesome class. My teacher is really passionate about her class & students, and really inspirational. I think I might actually enjoy history this year.
P.E.: Uh. Not much to say except my teacher is also the Physics teacher. And he's ridiculously strict. -_- I think I'll survive though :X
Honors English: Hm. :P English is a weird one. The class seems like it'll be fairly interesting, even though none of my good friends are in this class. My teacher is kind of... hyper. (She's admitted she's addicted to coffee :O) Her voice really bugged me for the first couple of days... but I guess I've gotten used to it now :P
Honors Geometry: Uhh... math... D: ::dies:: My teacher is cool, though. He doesn't really care what we do... haha... He's not as strict about showing your work and writing your answers in a certain format as other math teachers are.
But the biggest part of school beginning, for me, is the goals. This year I've decided that I can do almost anything I put my mind to.. if I don't get distracted by unimportant things. >_> The biggest problem I'm having lately with getting things done is that I'm really tired when I get home from school and can't concentrate very well. But anyway, on to some of my goals for this year...
- Get more sleep. I want to be able to go to sleep by 10:30 eventually... but right now I'm focusing on before midnight. :P
- Procrastinate less. Of course. I say this every year. Hard one to keep, though :P
- Maintain a 4.0. And not fail the AP Spanish test. And whatever SATIIs I decide to take this year.
- Spend time daily on art and music.
- Get a good start on my Girl Scouts Gold Award.
- Finish (or at least be mostly done with) my required community service.
Hm... yep. That's it for now. :P
