D; Poor weblog.. I haven't updated in such a long time.
I blame it all on school! The teachers have decided we can handle loads of homework. I never seem to have enough time to do anything I want to do anymore.
So what happened in this past week?
I think I got a 4.0 for this quarter. I HOPE I got a 4.0. All my grades ended up in the 90-92% range, which kinda freaked me out. ::coughSarahwithA+'scough::
:D And I got a CLIP! (For all of you who don't know, it's the new iPod shuffle.) It's so tiny. :O I have yet to take pictures of my cat listening to it. P: I'm sure he'll be delighted.. >__>
Of course, elections came. I reallly wanted to stay up and watch what happened, but my parents wouldn't let me. :( I went to sleep knowing that all the races were pretty close. Woke up.. and they were STILL not decided! I heard that the Democrats had won the House of Representatives with 28 seats, but the Senate still wasn't determined.
I had History third period, and our teacher, Mr. Elkhouri, was ranting on about the whole race and how it'd be a change for America. He kept checking his computer to see if they had updated yet. P: It was then that I found out that Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, stepped down from office. It was a surprise to me--I always thought he was there forever. O_o; Now we have some guy from the CIA who's going to take his place.
We wanted the Democrats to win the majority, and they did. They'll have to stop their celebrating soon and get down to business. America's looking for a change, and our faith in the country's future has been shifted to the Democratic Party's hands. (Basically, they better do a good job. x__x")
