Japantown O:
Mood: Happy
Event of the Day: going to Japantown with a bunch of buddies
Eh, sorry I haven’t updated in a while. Latin is a very unforgiving class once you fall behind.
Anyways, we finally got Katie to agree to a group-trip somewhere before she leaves for Maryland…which will be this Tuesday. ): There was a restaurant in Japantown called Benihana, where the cook prepares the food right in front of you. Pretty cool. It was part of our plan to go there.
We got off to a sort of late start, and there was quite a bit of traffic. But heck, when you’ve got five girls in one car and at least three of them are hyperactive, you can stand an hour of snail’s-pace. Parking was easy to handle as well, we got one that was right in front of the Japantown building.
Once we got inside, we didn’t want to go eat quite yet…so we visited a couple of shops 8D The bookstore has a sdjkfhksdjkin huge manga section. I found all the series I read, and I finally, FINALLY got the last book of the Magic Knight Rayearth series. Out of MKR I and II it was the only one I didn’t have. -happy- I had to really force myself not to ask my dad to buy the other three books of Gundam Astray R as well, since each book was a little more than $10. D:
Then we stopped by the…stationary store??? O: I got a .3 and a .9 pencil, and 2B lead for each. Hecka cool. :]
Ok, so we finally decided to get food and go down to Benihana’s, only to find out that without reservations, seats would only be available in an hour or an hour and a half’s time. So we trooped back and after a bit of debate, went to a noodlehouse and had ramen. Then dessert-crepes. Mwahar.
While we were waiting for Jackie to finish her crepe (she decided to get one last-minute, after watching us eat ours…and she thought the process of crepe-making was hecka cool), we were watching this Utada Hikaru concert show on the TV. I didn’t recognize her, but I recognized the three songs we listened to…except there was one I couldn’t name. -must find!-
As we were about to leave, we wrote wishes on paper strips and hung them from the bamboo plants in the entrance lobby…I hope my wish comes true. :)
My dad drove us all to my place, where we played Guitar Hero until everyone was picked up. So much fun, hehe. I finally found out what that bloody little stick is for on the guitar. Too bad I can’t use it for beans.
