I'm still ecstatic about being in an actual building. This week was full of wandering around campus, sometimes aimlessly, getting a feel for all the places that I could be. I spent a lot of time campaigning for the upcoming student body election. I ran for President, and I got a lot of positive feedback from friends about my possible victory. I don't want to jinx anything....
Every year, I tell myself not to procrastinate so much, but it doesn't help that I'm able to get away with putting off things till the last moment. With finals coming up next week, and this semester coming to an end, I more and more just want to enjoy myself. Homework gets put aside in order to be out with friends, and I often save homework to be done on the day its due, during school.
For example, my APUSH teacher assigns 2 chapters of notes each week, and they're due on Friday. This week was no different, and I usually plan my homework time around finishing one chapter every 2 days. However, we had Isaac Kramnick, a professor from Cornell, come speak on Friday, so the test and notes got postponed till Monday. So this week, I used that free time to do other homework, as well as be more time wasteful. Finding out tests are postponed allows me to relax, but then I relax too much and I slack off.
When the going gets easy, I take it easy.
