In A Hurry

January 23, 2009

So the new semester began this week. And I'm pretty happy with my classes. I TA for Pre-calculus class, then have Physics Honors, Lunch, and English 3 Honors. I'm glad that I have it pretty simple this semester, but I know that Physics is going to be a lot of hard work, and when stacked up with reading for English I'll be pretty socked in. I guess it's the self-foreboding that makes me want to withdraw inwards.

I recently became Student Body President, and the responsibility the role holds is worrying me. There are a lot of things that need to be done, and I'm just lost in where to start. I have summer program applications and essays to write. Just the sheer amount of work that I feel needs to get done is imposing. And as I type this out, I realize that I need to take it one thing at a time. Finish what needs to be done now, what can be done now. And just chip away at the larger tasks.

So instead of attempting to accomplish this mountain of work, I procrastinate. I do anything to take my mind off of it, wishing it would go away....
