On Christmas Day, I'm sitting at home watching my parents clean the house for visitors. This year, no Christmas tree, no abundance of presents; There's a lack of holiday spirit. I mean, I opened my 2 presents yesterday, and the majority of my friends opened their presents as soon as they got them or arrived home.
I guess everyone is tightening their belt this Christmas, even Santa Claus himself. Among my group of friends, more and more circles are doing Secret Santa so that they wouldn't have to buy gifts for everyone, which is probably a good idea when you're a teen. For me, it seems as if more and more people care about the gifts or how much money they're gonna spend rather than caring about the thought behind gift or the person who the gift is going to, even though I know that I'm only seeing one side of it.
I know it's Christmas, it just doesn't feel like it. I guess it's time to put the Christmas song playlist on repeat.
