Short Entries

June 4, 2008

My posts lately have reminded me of short excerpts I'd write in a yearbook. Yes, it's time to sign yearbooks once again. And the thing about writing short excerpts is that, they don't really have any point to them. Most of the time they're very generic or a quick sum up of what has happened. For this blog, the day; For a yearbook, the school year.

Actually, I haven't had anybody sign my yearbook in particular. I've been waiting for basically my best friend at school to sign it first. However, she's been telling me to stop waiting for her and just save a page in my yearbook for her. That's probably the best plan right now.

I think I'll have more people sign my yearbook than last year. I should probably prepare for the numerous non-meaningful entries...

"This year was a lot of fun" = "I can't wait for the last day of school."
"I can't believe this year is almost over" = "Yes I can"
"It was nice knowing you this year" = "I barely hung out with you"
"I had fun getting to know you" = "I never talked to you until this year"
"I'll miss you" = "I don't plan on seeing you over the summer"
"We should hang out..." = "Not really...."
"insert phone # Call me" = "Don't think about dialing this number"
"Don't change" = "....But change for the better" "Have a great/awesome/cool/sweet/amazing/good summer" = "I have no clue what to write"

Yes, they're all negatively connotated.
