Well, here we are at the end of another summer's session of AIC. I think I can speak for Head TA Quad and the rest of the TA squad when I say that it has been wonderful working with all of you, and learning along with you. Given the cutting-edge nature of some of what we were working on -- XHTML, XML, etc. -- it stands to reason that those of us on the 'instructing' side of the class were also learning things as we went along.
If you take nothing else away from this class, we hope it's the idea that XHTML 1.0 has replaced HTML 4.0 as the web coding standard. As you continue creating and maintaining websites, it's not only visionary but practical to make a habit of coding in XHTML. In addition, using CSS routinely in your web coding should be part of your web-design practice.
Weblog/Journal questions
What do you think of weblogging? Was it boring, or was it exciting? Now that the class is over, will you be continuing your weblog, or will it become an artifact of this class? If you do plan on continuing it, why? If you don't plan on continuing it, why not?
Make one final comment about this class -- feel free to say anything about it: your experience of learning how to code XHTML, CSS, etc... your website project... your weblog... your experiences with your classmates, TAs, teacher... anything at all. And finally, tell us what you plan to do with the rest of your summer vacation. ^_^
