- 3:00 - 4:30 Presentations, part 2

Today you will get to present your website design project to the class. In addition, you will get to be a teacher. ^_^ You will each have 10 minutes for your presentation, in which you will do 2 things: (1) present your website project, and (2) share an Internet-related domain of knowledge or interest in which you have both skill, and a passion for.

For the first part, please address the following issues in your presentation:

  • why or how you chose the website subject or topic
  • who your intended audience is
  • your website's design, structure and content
  • how you've used XHTML and CSS (or not)
  • the future of your website

For the second part of your 'show and tell' presentation, please think about any aspect of web design or Internet use that you're good at, or at least very familiar with. Then, share this expertise with the class. It doesn't really matter if we've already covered this in class, or if someone else has a similar expertise. Use your imagination. Just a few examples:

  • a Photoshop image editing trick
  • a favorite Javascript
  • a website resource or resources you use a lot
  • CSS attributes you find particularly useful/elegant
  • expertise in a game, online or otherwise

Weblog/Journal question

If you didn't have to do ATDP and AIC this summer, what would you be doing instead? Respond in this way: what would your parents have you do, and what would you prefer to do? Is either option compatible with the other? ;-) Do you feel summers are just for lazing around and slacking -- perhaps to make up for a hectic academic year; or would you rather spend your summers 'bettering' yourself with academic enrichment pursuits such as can be found at programs like ATDP?
