We joyfully welcome Catherine to AIC today! I've been waiting for Catherine's visit to both AIC and TIC, ever since she said she'd come and share her knowledge and wisdom on Net-related things. Catherine's a long-time colleague of mine at ATDP, and, before she left for Texas last fall, was a UC Berkeley Ph.D. in English, and then a member of Cal's vaunted Interactive University team.

Among other things, Catherine will be talking to us about weblogging--explaining today's title, for one thing-- and what she has been doing extending her weblogging practice with another Userland Frontier product, Radio Userland.

Weblog / Journal Question

Part 1:
Nothing specific for this first part. Just flip your weblog, and write about something you did yesterday -- except for Jenn and Allie, who already did. *chuckle* As for Jenn herself, she can write some more about her fascinating grandpa, or exactly why the As are going to get that wildcard spot, or both. ;-) And Allie should write about ... anything she likes. ;-)

Part 2:
Go to one of your classmates' or TAs' weblogs, and respond to any recent entry on it, be that entry a response to the journal question of the day, or just some random writing. Make sure to link to that classmate's weblog as well, so we can see what you're writing and responding about.

Homework
Each day, from now on, there will be time during class for website project work. Either bring your files on a floppy or Zip disk or upload them to your web space so you can access them in class.

Reminder: There will be no class next Tuesday, July 10th. The makeup class for that session will be on Tuesday, July 31st.

Write up something like this on your weblog. If you did the homework for Tuesday, just extend it a little bit more by describing and characterizing your weblog reader's persona like Catherine did it in her entry at the link above.
