Welcome
Students and friends... welcome to a new edition of the Advanced Internet Classroom at ATDP! It's always a blast for me and my team of excellent TAs to be here and to learn and have Net adventures with you all. This summer is no different, as we'll be honing our HTML, web-page editing, and website design skills... and creating our own community in cyberspace via our weblogs.
This being the Advanced IC, we'll be experimenting with a number of bleeding-edge web technologies, including XHTML and XML, and weblog syndication via a program called Radio Userland, which is directly related to Manila, the program we will be using for our weblogs.
As always, it is our intent in this class to have fun while learning, and so we shall. Perhaps unlike any other class you've had in school, in this one, you may keep in touch with your friends and classmates via AIM, you may listen to music on your PC (your CDs) or downloaded MP3s), download movies to check out -- all while multitasking with your HTML and coding work in class. Be sure to check this page first thing before every session, so you can get a sense of what we'll be covering in class on any given day.
So, let's get to work and dive right in...! ^_^
-- Lloyd.
